Allamakee County has announced that H1N1 vaccinations are now available to all residents. Allocations of H1N1 vaccine have increased statewide; this makes it possible to expand the people eligible to be vaccinated past the initial target priority groups to the general population.

Veterans Memorial Hospital’s vision includes being a leader in fostering a healthy community through commitment to those they serve. Evidence of meeting this vision is demonstrated by the numbers of hours volunteered in the community by hospital staff members. Beware of Telemarketing Scam

Veterans Memorial Hospital was recently informed that local citizens in this area are receiving phone calls from a medical company selling an ID card that can supposedly be handed to an ambulance attendant and scanned for all of that patient’s personal medical history. Veterans Memorial Hospital would like to inform the public that they do not participate with any type of system like this so purchasing this card would be worthless.
