Nuclear Cardiac Stress Testing Now Available at Veterans Memorial Hospital

Veterans Memorial Hospital has announced the addition of nuclear cardiac stress testing within their Cardiac Rehab unit. Nuclear Cardiac Stress Testing offers two different methods, both highly effective in detecting heart disease. VMH Auxiliary and Elliott Jewelers to Host Fourth Annual Women’s Health Day

The Auxiliary of Veterans Memorial Hospital together with Elliott Jewelers of Waukon will be hosting their fourth annual Women’s Health Day wellness event and luncheon on Tuesday, September 30, at the Waukon Reception and Banquet Center. All ages are invited to attend any part of this educational event, beginning at 11:00 a.m. with a wellness fair offering a variety of free health tests and information, and a salad luncheon and program held from Noon to 1:00 p.m.

Decorators Needed for 17th Annual Christmas Fantasy
Christmas Fantasy decorators are needed to decorate trees, miniature trees, doors, gift baskets, centerpieces and tables at the 2008 Christmas Fantasy in Waukon. This year’s theme is “Sharing the Joy” and will be held on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, November 14, 15, 16, and 17, at the Allamakee Fairgrounds Pavilion.

Road to Recovery Volunteers Ready to Transport Patients to their Treatments
Veterans Memorial Hospital Road to Recovery volunteers just attended a retraining with the American Cancer Society on Monday, June 30. These volunteers are available to assist cancer patients with transportation to their chemotherapy and radiation treatments that are performed outside of Veterans Memorial Hospital.

VMH Staff donations purchase new ER Cart

Members of the Veterans Memorial Hospital Culture Committee are pictured above with a new Emergency Room cart that was recently purchased with donations raised by the staff. The employees of the hospital together gave personal donations of over $15,000 last fall for capital purchases for the hospital, such as this cart.
